Contrary to the general belief, spoilers not only ruin the story; but also make you enjoy it even more. According to research by UC San Diego psychology professor, Nicholas Christenfeld, spoilers enhance the enjoyment in the process of reading fiction. In his experiment, two group of readers were chosen to read short stories from various genres. One group read the story and rated how much they liked it at the end. The researchers, however, spoiled the narrative by giving a short introduction, as if by accident for the other group. The results showed that if they spoil the stories, the readers actually enjoy them more. My first memory dates back to when I was only 2 years old. I am not going to talk about it. Not because it is a long story and you may not find it intriguing, but it is due to the fact it's an embarrassing story. When I was 4 years old, I imagined that I was an angel. How I came up with the idea is still a mystery to me. I never played with other kids because as a 4 year old angel I strongly believed that angels are superior to human beings. What an arrogant little monster I was! Little by little I got accustomed to life and I forgot "me, being an angel". When I was about eight years old, I wrote poems. Well, not a literary piece of art; but something by which I could express my feelings. That was when I said to myself :" You should study literature at college."
I was not a social kid and when I failed to communicate orally, I would pick up a pen and write a poem expressing how I actually felt. I could be sitting on my bed with a book in my hands and travel back in time, and to places I could have never been. My imagination with the help of literature would take me beyond reality. And that's why I am in love with literature.

Back in the history, Arab Muslims attacked the Persian territory in 633 A.D. After years of war and resistance, Persia was utterly conquered by Arabs.Since then, Iran has had a constant relationship with Islam and Islamic culture. And language, as a cultural element is not an exception. There is a strong bond between Farsi and Arabic terms that it is quite impossible to discriminate between Farsi and Arabic terms. For instance, Ferdowsi, a great epic poet, tried to use as few Arabic words as possible in his masterpiece, Shahname. Despite this fact, there are still three percent of Arabic words in Shahname.Raised in a Muslim family, I have been accustomed to Islamic culture. There are many instances in Quran that people are obliged to "strive in the path of God" which is referred to as "Jihad".Jihad has many definitions in an Islamic context, such as struggle against your evil inclinations or efforts to a moral society. In an Islamic school, we were taught that God will benefit anyone who would stirve in his path.However, jihad has an extremely negative connotation in the press. The Persians and Greeks built two of the most prosperous empires in history. Both nations are well-known for their influence on literature and more specifically mythology. Some scholars believe the origin of myths are the same and that justifies the similarities between the mythology of nations.In the play Antigone by Sophocles, the guard declares he would walk through flames to prove his claims. And similarly in the Persian Epic "Shahname", when Sudabe, the queen of Iran, fakes a rape Siavash is forced to prove his innocence by riding through a colossal mountain of fire. In both Ancient Persi and Greece, people would either walk through flames or take an oath to Gods when testifying a claim.There is a golden age in Persian mythology while Jamshid was on the throne. He builds an utopia in which there is no agony nor misery. When day breaks I wake up. Everyday is a challenge I am facing. Each page has a story and all together they form story of my life. Once life has not ended, I cannot realise what an amazing path I have been through. Sometimes I look back on my past and I can hardly recognize the girl in the mirror. There have been times I took the wrong ways that led me to calamity. I'm a girl of no particular experience; but I know quite well that we have to compensate for our mistakes. Sometimes I wonder about the worst mistakes one can ever make and I came up with the conclusion that it is "betraying oneself".
